By joining the Club Dragon, you can have a few rewards, such as an Eviolite and an Everstone

 

But the most important reward will be the Dragon medalion once you reach 240 pokémon caught data:

▸ It will allow you to challenge the Dragonite blocking the path to Dragons Den B1F, therefore have access to Lance down there.

Defeating Lance will allow you access to Cerulean Cave, which will grant access to Mewtwo and Naero, meaning Mew and eggmoves...

 

 

This opens a lot of possibilities for only 200 000$ :Grin: It's an investment on the long run, but will prove being worth it ;)

▸ Regarding the abandoned pokémons, you can find them all in the Location of all hidden items guide; they are a bit buried in the mass of screenshots for each item, but I don't find another guide on that matter right now; hope it will help you :Angel:
