I would say this too, but to my knowledge, the percentage is only about 5%, so unless the OP has lost over 20+ battles in a row, there must be another reason. Perhaps he paid for an without fully reading the dialogue? Or used the Safari?

Yeah, safari and maybe the pokeball seller grunt and just zoomed past the dialogue.
