Just to make it clear to me, the PP ups are meant to have a permanent effect, don't they?

 

I have just used 5 PP ups to my recently acquired Dragonite.

One of the moves I enhanced was Earthquake (from 10 to 16 max PP) and the other was Surf (from 15 to 21 max PP).

 

Then when I was going to use Dragonite, it had the same old 10 of its max PP for Earthquake, and the same happened to its Flamethrower. The 5 PP ups that I used disappeared from my backpack though.
