I was speed training my Meditite in Mt. Mortar 1F, and I discovered that there was something strange about the Rattata's I was fighting. They would move first due to me using a Macho Brace (as expected) but then I'd hit them with Drain Punch, fully heal my HP, and then get hit by a super-effective hit out of nowhere.

It's not really a problem, just something weird that I thought I'd share.

Thank you for your concern; Drain Punch is already known to be visually bugged.

 

These are one of the weird bugs that tend to come up with using Drain Punch, which is why the move is banned from use in PvP. You're free to use it in PvE situations, however.

In the future, take a look at the

PvP Rules and Revamp of Bugged Moves / Abilities / Items not to be Used in PvP thread, and if you happen to find a move that is bugged and already not on the list, feel free to report it using the Report Form.
