Move "Take down" - Receiving recoil damage twice

Featured Replies

I was in the Burned Tower, Floor 2 (Ecruteak City) fighting Zubats and Rattata with my Mareep. In about 1 out of 4 battles, I take recoil damage at the same exact time as 'Take down' deals damage to the enemy pokemon, as well as after. Therefore, I take double the recoil damage. My Mareep attacked first and Zubat never got a chance to attack (maybe the damage still came through and it wasn't recoil?). Although, on some occasions, I also heal twice from the 'leftovers' my Mareep is holding... I can reproduce this pretty often if needed. If this happens in other locations, I didn't notice until now. I've been mindlessly grinding so it could be.

Hello,

I am glad to inform you that this is only a visual bug and that Take Down or Leftovers are not bugged and are working properly. This visual bug occurs at the end of a battle when your Pokemon takes damage and heals in the same turn. It only looked like your Mareep took recoil twice and healed twice: you can test it yourself by removing Leftovers from your Mareep and then using Take Down. You can also look at your Pokemon's stats while battling and you should see that the amount of remaining Hp after using Take down will not change twice.

I apologize for any inconvenience this bug may have caused,

Have a nice day
