Drop rate for event pokemon

So I see that the new valentines event started and since im fairly new to the game this is my first event. I wanted to know what is the average drop rate for event pokemon is? Ive looked around and so far ive see that it varies from event to event but it looks like they are more or less as rare if not more rare than shinnies. Is it even worth trying to get an event poke since they are super rare? Id also like to see more statistics from the devs so that i know what my chances are upfront

If im correct, finding a shiny is rated as 1/8127 encounters.

While event pokes are 1/500 or so..

 

they are way less rare then shinys.

They are a nice addition to your team, but besides a custom sprite and name they dont give anything.

 

so you couls try and catxh them for the vanity, or to use one or to sell..
