I was wondering, what (and also where) can I do during this event that is exclusive to this time period only ? I've seen people with special Nidoran versions, I guess for the Valentine event. To answer your first question: During this time period, you'll be able to catch exclusive Valentine's Day Pokemon, which are normally not available in the wild:On February 10, 2018, Valentine's day-themed counterparts of Nidoran's family, Volbeat and Illumise were ushered in for the contemporaneous Valentine's day event, randomized at a 1/550 rate of huntability. As soon as the event will be done, said Pokemon will not be any longer available in wild. As long as you encounter one of the above Pokemon, there will be a chance that you'll receive the special version of the Pokemon; it doesn't matter where you hunt. Not only can you catch exclusive Valentine's Day Pokemon, but you also have access to Cupid's City—a special map open only to the current event. There will be bosses, rewards, and wild Pokemon available in this area; to access this area, go to the right of Viridian City, and a pathway should be open for you to enter! Generally speaking, many people are currently hunting Nidoran on Route 10, or in the Cupid City. I hope this information has helped you! Kind Regards, Astraea. So also, I can see in advance if the pokemon is "Valentine Themed" if they have the little accessories on them, right ? Not only after I catch them.
