Hi there, im in the quest where i need to help Ash find his Hat. I was using mankey's Covet skill and eas able to find the hat, but my mankey died in the battle. I chose a diff pokemon and defeated the mankey. When i went to ash. He still says that i still havent found the hat.

 

So i tried hunting for it again. Ive defeated like two dozen mankeys already and still havent gotten the hat. Is it a bug or i just need to try harder?

can you do a test?

try to put an item on your mankey then take it away

to see is there any unknown hat in your backpack

 

keep in mind that when your mankey uses covet to steal item, it can't be carrying any item

it took me 5 real time hours to find 1 hat when I was doing this quest
