I click the app and it doesn't open, plz help because I have tried using the linux launcher as well but it isn't an executable file.

Hello StrangeDanger

Sometimes it's Mac OS X system itself that blocks the launch of the game, especially GateKeeper which is a feature that will check if the said application is safe and can be opened on your Mac without damaging it, basically.

First, please delete all your old PRO files and download a fresh one here. If you're using Safari the file should get unzipped automatically so skip this step, but if you're using Chrome or Firefox you'll need to unzip it manually, I'd recommend you The Unarchiver.

Once you have your PRO launcher ready to be used, please visit this link about How to disable GateKeeper on Mac OS X Sierra and follow the step about how to completely disable this internal check, you'll have to use the Terminal application.

  1. Launch the Terminal (Applications > Utilities)
  2. Paste the following command
    sudo spctl --master-disable

  3. Hit Return
  4. Enter your Mac password as usually required when you're running an admin command (it might be invisible even if you type it, so don't worry)
  5. Hit Return
  6. GateKeeper should get disabled, in order to check go through the Preference System > Security & Privacy and you'll see that your downloaded applications can be opened from anywhere.

You can now open PRO without being annoyed by the system check. Keep in mind that you'll don't have to do this command each time, it is permanent until you decide to allow GateKeeper again.

If you need further assistance, feel free to ask for. Good luck.

I have been able to select the anywhere options thanks to your guidance, however the application still when I open it, it immediately closes for some reason.

Mmh, can you restart your Mac, right click on the PRO application and click "Open". What does it do ?

After restarting and opening the app, its just bounces on the dock and then goes away soon after. Doing this again just has the app closing more sooner to where it closes as you click on open.

Well can you check if your Mac is running under the last update, it should be 10.13.3 Hight Sierra (Click the Apple on the upper left corner > About this Mac). If not, please update your Mac to the last version.

Another thing you can try is to use another unarchiving software to unzip the PRO file once you downloaded it, Decompressor for example, which you can find for free on the App Store.

If it still doesn't work once you're done with these 2 previous steps, then you should visit this link : What to do when a Mac OS X application will not launch and follow the different instructions.
