Navarthelol
Hi, I am a new player and have been really enjoying reliving the nostalgia from a decade ago. My mind==blown at what has been achieved and I believe it's better then any of the originals I have played. I wanted to make a suggestion on the PvP rules as I feel that currently it is not scalable due to the manual intervention required from: staff, accuser and alleged to resolve a report end to end. I feel the rules do not have complex requirements and can be prevented from server side component for e.g. "The use of the ability Shadow Tag is prohibited in Ranked PvP". As new content is released and new/dormant PvP metas are discovered the rules will need to be easily adaptable. For a player population of ~1000 on each shard I can see existing solution is manageable provided majority of people are 'honest' and familiarised. However consider scenario that there is an influx of 10,000 new players where mistakes/abuse will be more frequent; the evidence and time taken to review is clunky; existing admin team would be strained to cope with large number of requests and broken meta would be unenjoyable; assuming hypothetically that admin team is able to cope then banning people would facilitate revenge e.g. DDOS attack- becoming dangerously popular within the gaming community. Kindly consider suggestion to have distinction in code between where PvP ruleset is required and where it is not required. It is better to have the onus on an automated solution that eliminates possibility of violation rather than clunky manual processes.
