I am not sure how this happened: i had 6 pokemon in my party, and a nincada between those 6, leveled it up and evolved it. The evolution button showed a Ninjask and even said it will evolve into Ninjask, but it evolved into Shedinja and i can not explain how. Is there a possibilty to restore it as a Ninjask or restore it as a Nincada? I searched long for this Pokemon and it also has pretty good fitting ivs and i do not want it to be wasted. It would be really nice if there is a way to help me :).

Were you sure that you had a full party before evolving? I have just tested both evolutions and can confirm that they are working properly.

 

As quoted in the List of evolutions coded differently in PRO guide:

• Nincada to:
  
  • Ninjask: Evolves via level up if your party is full (instead of both if you have a free spot)
    
  • Shedinja: Evolves via level up if your party has a free spot (instead of both if you have a free spot)
    

If you are completely sure that you had a full party, what do you recall doing before evolving the Nincada? Which slot was the Nincada in? Let me know as much information as possible so I can do my best to try to replicate the bug.

I had full party, but it is to late now :/ it was slot 5 if i remember right,i caught it like 30 minutes before on the Route next to rustboro, then went to dewford, made the cave defeated fighting leader (without using it) than went to Stateport Beach and killed KRabby with it to evs train atk. But its all fine now i guess. Tossed it in the trash can :c. Was not sure if an answer would arrive or if it was even able to be repicated. Otherwise thanks for proving my expectation wrong :)
