Digging tool

Featured Replies

This is just an idea, but why not add a tool (like a shovel or something) to dig, instead of always keeping a pokemon that has the move dig and enough hapiness?

Hi there,

As stated in the ► READ THIS BEFORE MAKING A SUGGESTION! ◀︎ thread:

  • Changing the Dig or Headbutt confirmation displays or adding Coin Shop tools for them

Rejected. Certain HMs are hard coded into the client, which is why they act the way they do. However, Dig and Headbutt are not - they aren't even HMs, for that matter. They are NPC coded, which requires levels of interaction. Before you ask, "Well, why don't you do the same with Dig etc?" that's because only the client developer would have access to them then, not scripters like we have now (and scripting makes it much easier to zero in on any potential errors and fix them). As a result, Dig and Headbutt function differently than HMs do, and implementing overhauls would require our developer Shane's intervention (such as spawn change or item list).

Therefore, it is highly likely that we will not make a tool for digging in the near future; perhaps somewhere down the lines with changes to our system it may be a possibility, but for now the answer is an unfortunate no.

Kind Regards, Astraea.
