I beat with 3 Pokémon from second time: Charizard 85, Roserade 85, Poliwrath 88 and first attempt was with Charizard 80, Roserade 80, Poliwrath 82. So it matters of training. Did you read with what kinda Pokémon levels I beat E4? EV retraining would help you as well.
