I hear that friends lists have been wiped and there is zero support to get them back, which is kinda enraging. Are there any people here who can help, or are qualified staff who can tell me why the social aspect of an mmo was that low of a priority?

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do for you.

Removal of friend lists is one unfortunate side effect of merging the servers.

I can assure you that the social aspect of the game is not low priority, this is simply because not everyone will go through the merge process at the same time.
