PC (Windows 10 x64) client keeps getting stuck at "loading map" [SOLVED]

I just downloaded the game for the first time yesterday to try it out. I tried the Android version and disliked how it played on my phone's small screen, so I decided to try the PC version. It lets me log in, but the client keeps getting stuck at "loading map" screen with the loading bar not moving. The client doesn't give me errors, close, freeze, or stop responding. It just... doesn't go anywhere.

 

What are some things I can do to try and fix this? This game looks interesting and I want to try it, but the PC client just doesn't want to work for me.

 

EDIT: Never mind, there wasn't a problem to begin with. It was the internet connection I was trying to use. Sorry for wasting your time.

For those who are running any OS below Windows 10:

 

▪︎ Delete your PRO files

▪︎ Disable Microsoft security essential/Windows Defender

▪︎ Unzip PRO current version again

▪︎ Add PRO folder to the "exclusion list" of MSE/WD

▪︎ Enable Microsoft Security Essential/Windows Defender

 

For those who are running Windows 10:

 

▪︎ Disable Windows Defender

▪︎ Unzip PRO again

▪︎ Add the folder to the "exclusion list" of Windows Defender

▪︎ Re-enable Windows Defender

If you're running Windows 10 and the above workaround doesn't work for you, alternatively try this source here:

 

▪︎ Have your Windows Defender on

▪︎ Remove the files and unzip again

▪︎ Open the game and close it

▪︎ Go to the Windows balloon in the right corner

▪︎ Open the virus scan

▪︎ Restore the quarantined file

▪︎ Open the game again, it should work now.

▪︎ To avoid doing this in the future, add the game folder as an exception in your antivirus.

Never mind, turns out the problem wasn't on my end. When I originally tried it yesterday, I did so on my college campus internet. But when I tried it later on once I was back at home, it worked perfectly without needing to do anything. So it must be something with the campus internet that was preventing it from working.

 

Sorry for wasting time with this post. The game's really fun though, now that I've gotten to play it.

Good to know that the issue wasn't on your end. Yes, there have been some cases like this before and one of the ways to play when you're connected to a private network is to use a VPN. But since you can play it at your house, it wouldn't matter. I'm happy to hear that you're having fun.
