If you sucker punch while the opponent is freezed it will not hit. But when the opponent pokemon is un frozen and makes an attack your sucker punch will fail!

 

It happend again an freezed Volcarona and my Bisharp sry for no footage!

Same goes when poke is asleep. Game full of bugs.
