Hello,

There are no differences in game mechanics between the android and PC client. Everything works exactly the same.

When using Covet or Thief, make sure to check if your Covet/Thief user is holding an item after a battle. It can only steal one item at a time, it will not steal an item if it already holds one! You need to remove the item from your Covet/Thief user in order to be able to obtain an item through Thief and Covet again.

To put it short; Yes, Thief and Covet work on Android, just like everything else; there are no differences in Android and PC clients.
