Unityplayer.dll still missing?

Featured Replies

So after trying to play my very first mmo rpg pokemon game, (btw amazing game guys/gals) i exited and when I tried to go back in, it wouldn't allow me to based on the error that the unityplayer.dll was missing, so i deleted the game, the zip file and the extracted contents and still nothing, I have a 64 bit operating system.

I then redownloaded the game and still received the same error message that the unityplayer.dll was still missing.

Why won't it play/start (up)?

Hi there,

When you re-extracted the zip file, you will have to completely remove all of the previous PRO files and folders, including temporary files and the one in Recycle Bin. Sometimes, by having multiple locations of PRO on the same computer might cause issues.

If the above was the case, you will need to completely delete all data and files related to PRO, and a fresh install, redownload and extract the zip file again should fix it.

If the above was not the case, when you download, try extracting the file with a different extraction program. Make sure that you extract the zip file into an empty new folder.

When extracted it should look like this:

As you can see, the UnityPlayer.dll should be right there. After taking the above steps, let me know how it works out for you!

The easiest possible cause of a "missing" unityplayer.dll file is that you've mistakenly deleted it. Sometimes it happens. So you can restore this file from the Recycle Bin. If you suspect that you've accidentally deleted unityplayer.dll but you've already emptied the Recycle Bin try to search and download it manually. For example from this site
