U just count wrong, once 1 pokes dies to hazards its not uncommon that it shows that 2 died by accident, try thinking what pokes opponent had and u will see it was only 6 pokemon just a visual bug

I'm sorry for any inconveniences that may have been occurred due to this bug! Actually, it is impossible to bring seven Pokemon in a PvP battle. What must have happened is as eltyyy described; the enemy player swapped into a Pokemon that died immediately due to hazards. When this happens, the game does not correctly register that Pokemon as fainted and therefore doesn't update the Pokeball icon properly.

 

Unfortunately, there is no ETA as to when this bug will be fixed, but keep an eye out on the Downloads & Update Logs for when they will be. Despite this inconvenience, I hope you have a good game and a great rest of your week.
