    I'm in linux though. Edit1: And I only have a black screen like this in "dark" caves you use flash in. On another account sweet scent didn't work out of battle either. Edit2: And puppy linux specifically so I'm already in the equivalent of "admin mode" (meaning run as root). Edit3: I can't run windows because I don't have an hdd that works in my laptop. Edit4: And I've tried rebooting too
