I think catching pokemon is one of the most fun in this game. But if you have money you can buy/trade all the pokemon. So that you don' need to catch any pokemon. For my opinion, learn making money is the most efficient. So if some rare pokemon don't allow to trade if it is possible?(May be setting >lv50 not allow to trade?) I think at least not all the pokemon can be traded.
