Yes my in game name is the same name. "Emerette"

I just recently arrived in route 47 and made a trip to the tall tree that is supposed to have an abandoned Sandile or Trapinch. When interacting with the blue pokeball behind the tree, the initial text of talking to the abandoned pokemon appeared, then somehow the game made me encounter a wild pokemon from the nearby grass patch. After exiting the battle, my character was stuck and couldn't move in any direction, nor was there any dialogue from the abandoned pokemon. I proceeded to re-log my account, but when I logged back in, I could move again, but there was no abandoned pokeball that I could interact with. I checked my PC via the nearby safari zone poke center to see if I received either pokemon, but there is no Sandile or Trapinch in my PC. There was an obvious glitch in the game which prohibited me from obtaining this abandoned pokemon. Can I please get some assistance with this matter? Thank you!
