For the most Areas you have to do some things before like achievments, for example Love Island: You have to Catch 120 KANTO Pokemon and need 32 Evolves at all. Trainer Valley: You have to catch 240 Pokemon, you can enter Trainers Valley, after beating RED you can enter in the building in Trainers Valleys
