I think that this should become a thing. Unlike the original games where the names were universal and seen by everyone you could make it as the topic says and just client side, therefore no one but the owner of the Pokemon could see the name. This makes Pokemon so much more enjoyable for a lot of people.
I was going to propose a filter to the names but this is honestly a better solution.
okay then what is the best way at my state, not being able to go anywhere further than cerulean city, to power level a magikarp? just mt moon? have magikarp out first and kill with poliwag?
I did something along those lines.
I pretty much hum the music to myself daily now. .-.
No but seriously using lv 40-45 to get to lv 80 is utterly annoying and leveling up a whole team for that is agonizingly long.
An extra floor would make this enjoyable and a lot more bearable. I mean at least up the level by like 5.
Gyarados is legit the best thing in Kanto.
Sweeped every gym.
Gyarados and Weeping should be more than enough. Level them up a bit more and you're solid.
Wait till you get to the E4 if you think this is bad. I'm having to level my whole party to 80ish and it's taking ages.
EV and IV values are what I assume you are talking about.
A rough definition of the two are
EV Values are obtained by battling with your Pokemon. Some Pokemon give out select values to certain things such as Def from Geodude, etc.
IV values are generally what come with your Pokemon. It's advised to have the max (31) in every value except the one that you really don't need it in. (Generally Atk/Sp. Atk.) This can be done by breeding or getting really lucky in the wild.
These are both values that overall help your Pokemon have better stats in the long run. Same with Natures. Some add and subtract values from certain stats.
At least that's how it is in the handheld games. Might be slightly different here on PRO.

I gotta remember why I chose Charmander and cry as I level up a bellsprout to beat Misty as I try to meet you on that path.
Bad decisions :[
Don't wanna keep growl switching until I get lucky like I did with Brock xD
