  1. Not sure what you mean - magic guard is only supposed to prevent indirect damage. Here are some examples of what "indirect damage" consists of: - Weather effects (hail / sandstorm) - Poison - Entry Hazards (spikes) - Life Orb Moves that have secondary effects are not prevented. e.g. Poison sting could poison your pokemon, but its hit is not prevented.
  2. just walk out, or use escape rope. ^ not sure if troll On topic: Perhaps switch out Arbok for a fast (meaning bonus speed nature or high speed IV) Kadabra/Alakazam for Psychic. If you are unable to faint Nidoking with one attack and he KO's you, switch to another pokemon then use a revive and hit him again. At the right level, Kadabra/Alakazam should hit first, so if you are slower then train some more.
  3. Your best bet will probably be a strong water or grass pokemon. Psyduck is common, as well as oddish. (Any will work, these two are just easily obtainable) I think he also has a Persian and Nidoking(?) in that fight, so to list their weaknesses: Persian is weak to fighting, so Machop/Machoke (or a pokemon not weak to dark and normal with high defense e.g. Geodude/Graveler/Golem/Onix) Water/Psychic/Ice/Ground for Nidoking, so Alakazam/Golduck
  4. Hello! I'm interested in joining IGN: Minky Hours played: ~98 Activity: Depends on the day and schoolwork, but mid-to-high Badges: 16 Favorite Pokemon: Ampharos - Played Silver / Crystal a lot when I was young, and Ampharos has been my favorite of Gen 2
  5. Firstly, what moveset and IV/EVs do your pokemon have that make the kanto e4 not beatable? Especially at those levels. As for the server disconnects, it's quite unfortunate yes, but it's doubtful that there will be any compensation. A team of 70-75 EV trained can clear the kanto e4 with a few revives and hyper potions. If I had to guess, the pokemon are around level 75. There is another topic on each elite four member and their pokemon. Plan out which pokemon you will use for each battle and always use type advantages in your favor. Perhaps even use a random low level magnemite with sturdy so you can paralyze fast threats like Agatha's Mega Gengar. Keep on trying, maybe when the server isn't overflowing to reduce the chance for disconnects. Good luck.
  6. Pineco can also be found (very, very rarely) in grass as well. irafayel mentioned Empoleon - is piplup obtainable with membership only? The full steel team looks quite fun and doable.
  7. Having a well balanced team with pokemon that cover the weaknesses of others will help a lot. Also, it's crucial to use attacks that are super effective unless your pokemon are crazily over-leveled. I finished the kanto elite four with the team in the imgur link below. imgur.com/a/HRtkO For Lorelei, I used Magnezone's and Gengar's Thunderbolts. When she sent out Jynx, Flash Cannon did the job. Bruno was pretty easy with my Golduck. Surf for Onix, then Psychic for his fighting pokemon. When Golduck fainted, I sent out Crobat for Acrobatics. Agatha required Magnezone to paralyze Mega Gengar. After being crippled by paralysis, it would not be able to attack first. Gengar then used Shadow Ball -> got one shot -> revive -> Shadow Ball again. Magnezone dealt with Lance's Gyarados easily. Granbull's Outrage was able to two-hit Dragonite. Aerodactyl was a bit tougher since I wasn't able to outspeed him. Finally for Blue, attack with type weaknesses and make sure to paralyze Alakazam. As you can see, both my Magnezone and Golem have Sturdy. This ability is very helpful since you can basically revive your other pokemon during the two turns they are out. I did train my main attackers in full speed and attack / special attack so they would be able to one-hit most of the elite four. To see the full roster of each elite four member's pokemon and the order they are sent out, this post is very useful: pokemonrevolution.net/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=8077 As for your team, an Alakazam would fit in very well. You could even use two level 14 magnemites since you'd only have four pokemon for Sturdy fodder. The benefit of using magnemite is that if you send it out after one of your pokemon faints, you can use Thunder Wave to paralyze the opposing pokemon and then use a revive on one of your attackers to finish it off. My last suggestion is to carry a lot of revives and hyper potions. Good luck, and hope to see you in Johto soon!
  8. I walked in to Cinnabar Gym with a level 48 Golem. I walked out with the badge and a level 63 Golem. The gyms can be very difficult (was stuck on poison one for ages) if you don't find a hard counter to the leaders' pokemon. Keep on trying though, they are completely doable. It's nice that PRO's gym leaders give such a good challenge.
