Apparently the rare spawns here are more common, but to catch them you need a higher number of discoveries (most likely 5000+)." I got a Beldum encounter in Mineral Site and I caught it. I'm only a few hundred (if that many) discoveries in. *Oh. I see there's an updated thread.

This just happened to me as well. Got about 14k, a thunder stone, and I chose Clauncher. There's no Clauncher in my PC.
