I have a Pidgeot, Sandslash, Venusaur, Vaporeon, Arcanine and Magnezone. I'm planning to substitute Pidgeot with Gengar. I have all 8 Kanto badges (Still not beating the E4 ), which pokemon could I substitute by other pokemon? Is Arcanine actually good?

I didn't even know it was possible to find fossils in dig spots... Is it a bug or what? Is it worth some money? Is it rare? Is Omanyte/Omastar good?
