Hello PRO Development & Management Team,
I'm writing to you as a passionate competitive Pokémon player. I've been following the game closely and have several suggestions that I hope you might consider implementing.
1. TM Pool Expansion
I would like to suggest adding crucial TMs such as Nasty Plot, Close Combat, Psychic Fangs, Mystical Fire, Heavy Slam, Psychic Noise, and others to the PVP reward pool. While some Pokémon may end up being suspected or banned as a result, this is simply part of the natural evolution of any competitive metagame. More importantly, expanding the TM pool gives players significantly more options and experiences, both in PVE and PVP content.
2. TM Shop in PVP
I also suggest making certain TMs, which are currently obtainable only from PVP chests, available for direct purchase in the PVP Shop. Many players experience frustrating RNG when trying to obtain specific TMs from reward chests. This often forces them to spend excessive time trading or acquiring TMs through other means, which significantly diminishes their overall game experience and enthusiasm for competitive battling.
3. Missing Movepool Additions (PLA)
It is concerning that movepool updates from Pokémon Legends: Arceus have not been implemented in PRO. This omission is confusing to many players. It also raises concerns about whether movepools from the upcoming Legends: Z-A will be even further out of reach for our game.
4. Small PVP Reward Increase
I believe the rewards for winning PVP matches could be slightly increased. Currently, beyond the first-win bonus, the rewards feel minimal. In Normal Ranked, you need two wins for one chest; in Random Ranked, it takes four wins. This does not account for the low chance of getting good items from those chests, nor the time investment required for each win—especially in 6v6 Singles, where stall teams can make match length unpredictable. To provide better positive feedback for PVP participation, I suggest that in Normal Ranked, each win could grant 1 PVP Coin plus a small bonus item such as a PP Max. In Random Ranked, each win could grant a PP Up or similar consumable.
5. Frequent PVP Encouragement Events
I would like to see events that encourage PVP participation hosted more regularly. Even small bonus rewards—like +1 PVP Coin or +1 PVP Token per win during event periods—would keep the competitive scene more active and engaging throughout the year.
6. Victorious Form Choice
For players finishing in the Top 25 of the monthly Normal Ladder, I suggest offering a choice between two victorious forms: the current month's design or the previous month's victorious form.
7. Permanent Hunt of New Pokémon
I would like to address the current tradition of releasing 2-3 new Pokémon per holiday event, only to make them unobtainable until the next year's event repeats. From an average player's perspective, one month is often insufficient to catch a Rare-tier Pokémon with the desired IVs. For Pokémon that require Hidden Abilities to be viable in PVP, the task becomes nearly impossible. Even focusing on just one new Pokémon per event, most players will not catch their ideal specimen—and may miss out on other event skins they like in the process. This is especially discouraging for players who want to use their OT Pokémon in battles.
Many veteran players I have spoken with share the same sentiment: once events end and new Pokémon become unavailable, they lose interest and find themselves logging out more often. For many, this is where the disengagement begins.
8. Bug Catching Contest & Fishing Contest Updates
I suggest refreshing or resetting the spawn pools for both contests. It has become a common remark among long-time players: we were catching Larvesta five years ago, and we are still catching Larvesta today. If Generation 7 Pokémon are delayed for some reason, there are plenty of other options to refresh the pools—Applin, Snom, and Nymble would all make great new faces for the Bug Catching Contest. Similarly, instead of just Basculin (Red/Blue Stripe) , Feebas, and Relicanth, players would be far more excited to hunt for Basculin (White Stripe) , Dondozo, and Tatsugiri in fishing contests.
9. Zacian & Zamazenta Return as Anniversary Pokémon
I would like to suggest bringing back Zacian and Zamazenta as part of an anniversary event. These iconic Pokémon are highly sought after by many players. A limited-time return for a special occasion would generate significant player excitement and participation.
Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestions. I am happy to discuss any of them further and provide more details if needed. PRO has been a fantastic game for many of us, and I truly believe these changes would enhance the experience for both casual and competitive players alike.
Best regards,
Susukivv
