They are working on a pretty large fix to help with stability. It's not an easy task for a small team. Hopefully, with this fix we will see much less crashes. There is no ETA as of now.

I couldn't tell you as I've never used a Mac. You could also join the Discord and ask other people who may use a Mac if they can help.

Did you redownload the game after the update? you need to do that after every update, it doesn't update itself. Could also be an issue with your anti-virus or firewall, try adding an exception for the game in your anti-virus and firewall next time. Right now the game is down for maintenance so you won't be able to connect till that is finished.
