And do I just look at the stats on the right side then? pikachu apparently has no suggested move set for gen 6 so try another pokemon or gen and you can see what moves/ability's/EV training and items they suggest for example : https://www.smogon.com/dex/bw/pokemon/pikachu/ Okay, that helped! Hello, I have a question about the game and I was unsure where to post it. I didn't get a (very clear) reply in game so I decided to ask this here. Is there some easy way to see which pokemon is better for which role? Like for example, can I somewhere find what Pikachu is good at (tank, speed, damager)? Or should I just check the stat total (white stat) when I catch one and base the nature/IVs/EVs on the highest total stat? I don't want to ask in chat for every pokemon what role it should have. Thanks in advance!

2 questions about EV training; do trainer pokemon give EV too? And what if for example you start a fight with a Geodude, and then you switch to Pikachu and kill the pokemon with Pikachu. Does only Pikachu gain the EV or does Geodude get them too?

Ooh, I think I figured it out already. I presume that when you hover over an ability the watery kinda thing means special, the explosive thingy means physical and the grey thing means status effect?
