I know it depends on the role that I want it to play but generally which works better in this case?

I have a calm nature tentacool with 31 IVs in spdef and 8 in def. I'am training him to be a wall for my team. Was thinking of having EVs maxed out into HP and spdef. Have already started with HP but was wondering if its the right move to put the other half of my EVs into spdef? Or should I rather have 252 put into physical def? Which build would work better? Also, where do you possibly spdef train in kanto? I know that fighting tentacool/tentacruel is usually the fastest way but while training a tentacool its just a lot slower...

Agree with the stone,was just making a random example. But how will they have the same stats? Pikachu has a base total stat of 320 while raichu's is 485. How is pikachu supposed to catch up to those if it isn't evolved? Unless this game works differently to the actual games..

Evolved pokemon have a higher base stat right? So say I take a pikachu and not evolve it till lvl 99 ( so that he levels up faster). wont it have lower stats than a pikachu that evolved to raichu at a low level and then was raised to lvl 99?

What happens to the game after you finish kanto? I mean finish all the gyms and the E4. I take it you move onto johto but what happens to all your pokemon and items? Do you get to take them all along with you and use them in johto?

Hey guys, so I was wondering what happens to attacks that you learn at a certain level if you dont evolve the pokemon? Like for instance with a magikarp,which can only know tackle,splash and flail. Compared with a gyarados which is supposed to sure some moves say at level 25 it learns bite.Just for an example.But if I don't evolve my magikarp till after level 25,then when will my gyarados learn bite if at all? If the pokemon loses out on certain moves is it even worth not evolving?

Hey guys just need a quick opinion as to what would be the best water pokemon to get in the Kanto region (before fighting Giovanii in the team rocket hideout) and why. Was mainly thinking between gyrados and Golduck? I would have said gyrados... Also if its neither golduck or gyrados then where might I get it and how?

From what I heard,which may be false or true. The ??? is supposed to be the number of the (gym X10)+5 or something like that.So basically for the first gym you would need atleast lvl 15 pokemon,and then lvl 25 for the second gym and so on.

I'am stuck in pretty much the same spot as you man. My pokemon are at 40s and its not difference,his rhydon just out speeds and one hit K.Os everything I have!

They are all in their high 30s. I have a gloom but it gets outsped and gets knocked out in one hit. I have a pigeotto but wont drill run work on it too? What level are my pokemon supposed to be?

you can use Magnemite with sturdy ability + thunder wave to decrease speed of Giovani pokemon Thunder wave isn't going to work on a rhydon...

I'am stuck trying to beat Giovani in the Team rocket hide out. It seems just impossible as I can't even get through his first pokemon. His rydon out speeds everything and his drill run just one hit kills every pokemon on my team...I literally haven't even landed a single hit on his first pokemon! Unless I wanted to have pikachu do a quick attack but thats pointless :Angry:
