I'm not sure if Grimer and Muk hold nugget (I know for a fact they can hold Black sludge), but keep in mind that they have an ability called Sticky Hold which prevents you from stealing their items. So, it's always better to get a Poke with frisk and if they hold something catch them instead of using Thief or Covet.
