They removed it because of the trick some people were doing, buying them for 20k and selling for 25k.

Lack of information is the most annoying feeling on a farming game (Diablo player experience), if you dont want to show how rare are each pokemon at least public the spawn rates of rares, uncommons, commons etc (for example, rare is 5%, super rare 1%) and let us decide what poke is rare or not depending of our experience catching them.
