  1. At the moment, using TMs in the android client is a bit like Russian roulette. Unless you remember off the top of your head what TM is what or minimize the client to look it up online, you're blind firing. In the PC client, hovering allows you to preview the TM, however obviously you cant do the same on a phone or tablet. My suggestion is that each TM would have a sub-menu similar to the PC client, which appears when selected, that displays the contents of the TM and the option to "Use" or "Cancel". This reasonably simple fix would improve the quality of life on mobile devices. :thanks:
  2. Here are a few common questions answered for you! How do I earn lots o' money? Money can be earned from wild encounters, trainer battles, and selling items to specific NPCs. Additionally, you can sell held items and even Pokemon themselves to other trainers! Money can be hard to get at first, so save what you can! Additionally, here is a money-making guide by Daeon. Note: Pay Day does not work and there is no Amulet Coin. I walk so slowly, when do I get the fabled running shoes? There are no running shoes, but may purchase a bicycle after the first few gyms for $75,000 so start saving! An Arcanine Mount quest is available later on to get a free mount, and additional mounts can be purchased with donation coins. Is battling in this game any different? There are a few key differences that should be noted: Level ??? - Story-related trainers and bosses do not have the level of their Pokemon displayed. Pokemon should still be at a set level. 'Smarter' AI - All NPC pokemon (Trainer or Wild) are smarter in PRO than in the games. They will often use the move that is super-effective to your Pokemon, instead of randomly choosing a move. Re-battling - - Regular Trainers can be fought once every (real life) week. If you lose to a Trainer, you lose some money and it counts as fought. - The Elite Four may be re-battled once every ??? hours (used to be 24, lowered now but unsure by how much). If you lose to a the Elite Four, it counts as fought. - Gym Leaders may be re-battled repeatedly if you lose to them without getting the badge. However, they will stop giving EXP after the first try. Learning moves mid-battle - Pokemon in PRO learn moves after the entire fight is over, similar to how they only evolve after the battle is over. 'Unfinished' moves and abilities - (there are probably more, these are just the ones I know of) - There's a thread here which shows bugged moves (as well as which moves/Pokemon cannot be used for competitive). - AI does not take into account the ability 'Levitate' when attacking. Enemy Trainers will keep using Ground-type moves against a Gengar. Credit to Eleaten. How does experience work in this version of the games? Experience Points - - The more fully evolved your Pokemon is, the more EXP is needed to level it up. Therefore if you're trying to grind levels, it may be beneficial to leave the Pokemon unevolved until it gets to your desired level - Pokemon in this game give much more EXP compared to games, however the EXP needed to level up is also adjusted accordingly. - The EXP Share (item) does not exist in this game. If you switch Pokemon mid-battle, EXP is still shared between the battlers. - When switching around Pokemon to gain EXP, a higher leveled Pokemon will cause the EXP gain to be lowered for the lower leveled Pokemon. (Ex. Send out a level 20 against a level 58, switch to: a) A level 75 Pokemon -> the level 20 will gain ~6k EXP. b) A level 95 Pokemon -> the level 20 will gain ~3.5k EXP.) As an additional note, an EXP Booster is available from the coin shop, which gives you 25% bonus experience for 72 hours. Credit to Eleaten. How do get my pokemon to hold an item? You can drag the item to the Pokemon in your party in the upper left of the screen and release onto it. Left (or right) clicking the item in your bag will consume the item instead. You can remove the held item by clicking on it in the Pokemon status window, accessed by clicking on it in your party tab. I caught this awesome pokemon and want to trade with my friend's. How do I trade? In order to trade, you will need to be inside of a Pokecenter. Right click on your buddy and select trade. Your pokemon will be listed below, simply select them in order to offer them up for trade. You can also offer and receive cash. You DO NOT need to send a pokemon to receive one during a trade, and if your party is full it will be sent to your box instead. You may also link Pokemon in chat by dragging the pokemon in your party (top left of screen) into the message line in the textbox. However, you can only trade after beating the 4th Gym Leader, Erika. It should be mentioned that you cannot trade Pokemon from the Johto or Hoenn region if you have not been there yet. Are shiny pokemon and mega evolutions in the game? Shiny Pokemon are in the game and will both have a glitter animation and a Yellow S next to their name in addition to the natural color change, so they shouldn't be hard to miss if you come across one. Mega Evolutions are not implemented or usable by players, even if you have a mega stone. Some NPC Trainers do use mega-evolved Pokemon. Credit to Eleaten. Why can't I place a pokemon into the daycare to get eggs? I want to farm epic IVs! There is no breeding, and there never will be. However, there are utilities built into the game to let you figure out the IVs of a pokemon you've caught. </B> It's simply not conducive to a real MMO atmosphere. To see the IVs and EVs of a pokemon you own, just tap on a pokemon in your party or bank and look next to their base stats. There are a few other things to note: - You can view a Pokemon's EVs and IVs directly in their stats page. - Pokemon Natures display as (Green = +10%, Orange = -10%). - Berries that reduce EVs exist in the game. - Macho Brace exists, other items that aid in EV gain (power items/pokerus) do not. [glow=red] [/glow] What is this membership thing I keep hearing about? Does it make people overpowered? I call Pay to Win! Not at all, membership gives slight bonuses to money and experience gains, as well access to exclusive spawns on some routes. However, most of these pokemon are available elsewhere for non-member players. Think of it as early access rather than a content lock! I'm stuck and can't figure out where to go next! I would suggest asking in the Help tab of the chat if you're stumped by something, otherwise look here for a possible solution. So what kind of pokemon appear in this game? In Kanto, where you start, it will mostly be generation 1 pokemon that appear. However there pokemon from every generation sprinkled into the various regions. In order to find out what you can find you can use multiple tools. In the upper right side of the screen is a little arrow, and when pressed a list of all pokemon on your particular route or area will appear. Slots that appear white are available to everyone, while purple spawns are membership spawns only. Are the legendary pokemon available to catch? I want my epic Deoxys! ...more WIP, please comment on guide for errors or add-ins!

  8. Re: Mega Starting Guide for PRO <r><QUOTE author="JXaaza"><s> </e></QUOTE> I've seen many guides but they seemed pretty spread out. Ideally I would like to have additional links to their individual guides for topics that would be too much to handle in a single post. Will be adding more in game pics to the guide when the game comes back up! <E></E></r>
