  1. I may have some feedback that might help. Maybe have player battles provide EXP but not EVs? Trainer battles sound like a really fun way to level up your Pokemon while providing a social aspect to the game. When you battle trainers, you'd only be focusing on how to beat that player rather than make it feel like a repetitive grind.
  2. Or we can just tell people to google for any questions they have on basic Pokemon mechanics.
  3. And this is exactly it. I'm alright with a tiny grind. If I have to grind, make it fun and not tedious. Add quests or sidestuff that I can explore without making it feel like I'm grinding.
  4. Like I said the grinding works in 2003 mmos and even some of them are improving to make leveling up feel like less of a chore. No recent mmo has ever done this. And I have membership. The boost is okay, but that's the only good thing about it.
  5. After getting 8 badges and finally seeing the nature of the game I'd like to provide some feedback. The game was very fun up until the point where I had to fight the elite four. That's great. Except I learned that grinding is especially required to even get a chance at defeating the elite 4. To gain from level 50+ to 75+. I also learned that in order to reach Hoenn, a level 80 rattata was required. I'm shaking my head at this point asking why. I'm not happy with that fact because rattata is a terrible Pokemon to begin with, and it could very well take hours to even reach that point and it's not going to be fun. I feel like it's added there for the sake of it. The only thing that really diminishes my impressions of the game is the repetitive grinding. I get that it's an mmo. But this type of repetitive fighting monsters to level up and progress is the type of MMO I'd be playing in 2003. Not the type of mmos that would provide me with fun things to do that doesn't feel like I'm grinding. Don't get me wrong, I'd like the game to be hard, but not to the point where I have to farm for hours to be successful. That's not difficulty, it's time sink, and puts a mental strain on me as a player fighting geodudes for 5 hours, when I really want a chance to see more the content that the game has to offer. To get to the point, repetitive grinding is annoying and extremely boring. I would really like to see more custom content in the game that does not require me to beat the elite four, or catch 200 Pokemon. There isn't a lot, and it would really help if more options were given to us early in the story game. Finding a quest/content to do only to find that it can't be done until much later in the game is beyond frustrating. Quests where I have to defeat some boss pre elite four is nice. MMOs like World of Warcraft, GW2, and ESO added quests into the game to make the experience more enjoyable and not feel like I'm fighting the same monsters over and over to get a small amount of exp. I'm focused on the gameplay and story as I level. If you think that just because it's an mmo excuses the repetitiveness of the game then keep in mind that this concept is extremely outdated and puts a lot of frustration to casual players who have life obligations that keep them from fully experiencing the game. At this point this game feels like a full time job instead of a game that is fun enough to escape from it.

  7. That's how I feel as well. If you can improve the rates of ms exclusive Pokemon that could help the economy, at least some of us have a good chance at catching those Pokemon and selling it for profit. But the rates are so low it could be hours before finding it and some of us don't have time for that. Unfortunately , after purchasing the ms, I don't have a lot of incentive to purchase it again, because I can't make use for its benefits.
  8. Thank you for responding. Though I'm far enough in the game that I don't mind the head butting as much. (Dig was my only source of income because I have nothing to offer so early in the game. I don't want to sound entitled and I understand your intentions, but the low encounter rate just makes me feel like I'm not getting enough value out of purchasing membership. It brings up the question I ask myself, what am I paying for?
  9. First is like to praise the developers on creating an extraordinary game. I'd like to thank them for allowing me the opportunity to relive the Pokemon games I've been playing since 1998. They have done a wonderful job with this game even at this beta stage and my hat's off to them. While there are a lot of things I enjoy about the game there are some elements that I do not particularly enjoy first being.. The lack of content and features to new players in this game - Custom content is great and all but most of them are inaccessible to brand new players It's very difficult to use headbutt and dig early in the game especially when you just earned the badge required for it. I even had a Pokemon that learned headbutt at 19 on its own. I liked using headbutt in gold and silver back in the day and it was really fun. When I tried to use it, I couldn't make use of it because of the happiness requirements. I couldn't use it until my Pokemon was level 35 when I earned my 6th kanto badge. This took the enjoyment of of playing because I really want to see what Pokemon were in those trees. The lack of incentives for membership - I purchased membership for the sole purpose of encountering those membership exclusive Pokemon. I checked out safari exclusive and the underground tower to see what i could find only to find that the encounter rate for a majority of those Pokemon were very rare. I could not make use of what I paid for except for the exp and money bonus(where the money gain from trainers is extremely poor) which is nothing compared to those membership exclusive Pokemon i could find. I feel like I'm not getting my money's worth and there's very little incentive to buy except for those bonuses. As a member I don't find this fair. I would really like it is those membership Pokemon is uncommon instead of extremely rare. So far those are my thoughts . I have more is like to convert but so far these issues strike out the most to me.
  10. I just got VIP and so far have five badges in Kanto. I just want to know how to access the VIP only areas from this point in the game.
  11. Id like a way to make money as a new player with three badges. Unfortunately I don't have access to a lot of features especially trading. I prefer not to trade with other players because I have nothing to offer them. I really need money for supplies as I play the game such as pokeballs and potions and trainer battles generate ridiculously low money sometimes. Any help would be appreciated.
  12. Something I should add for differences between the regular game and PRO. In PRO: Diglett's cave is not accessible until after you beat Lt Surge. Which I find mildly jarring. In the RBY and FR/LG versions, you can easily access Diglett's cave prior to starting the 3rd gym and catch a level 26 Dugtrio to help you.
  13. There is no client for Android yet. Check tommorow sometime.
