Welcome to the promised land. Glad you survived UguuMMO.

I mean you have to walk it all initially, but having to pay some sort of coinage or in game currency to fly town to town makes no sense. Now having coins to fly to special areas or to specific routes or whatever would be fine cause its something special that you wouldn't normally have the ability to do.

I was reading and I had seen that there is some sort of misconception that fly is somehow "unbalanced", please explain how? For one, you cant fly without the HM, you have to previously visited the town, you have to own a Poke able to learn the move and also a badge "unlocking" the ability to use the move out of battle. So on top of all that why should flying and the use of other HMs be a money sink? It doesnt make any sense to me at all and Ive talked with quite a few people and we all came to the same conclusion. So can someone please explain what makes the ability to fly unbalanced. Its literally just a way to travel town to town only, and only to places youve already been.

It doesnt and this is why, you have to look beyond the next 6 months to a year. Right now and even in a year what youre saying could be true to an extent. The more money one gains the less theyre going to grind payday for if no other reason it becomes not worth the grind. There will come a time where a smaller group of players will hold a majority of the wealth in game. When this happens it will become increasingly more difficult to get the lump sum of the upper class of player to trickle down to the new players because not enough of them will have desired goods like shinys or large amounts of cash to exchange with them. So it will help to bridge that gap, not completely but enough to help the issue by getting their foot in the door so to speak.

Payday and the Amulet Coin should be implemented, the payouts just need scaled down. At first everyone will be starting out on even ground and the absence of these things wouldn't really make a difference, but the longer this game is around the larger the gap in wealth between old players and new players becomes, the more difficult it will be for the new players to function within the economy with the older players. Now Im sure Ill get multiple responses like "well older players SHOULD have more and It SHOULD be harder for newer players" or things along these lines. In a functioning economy this is not true. For the economy to have longevity the newer players need this little extra boost to keep from being at a financial disadvantage over the long term. This was evident in other games Ive played where the economy's grew stale because players who had been around horded most the valuable goods between each other and the newer player struggled to gain any true wealth because they simply could not afford to exchange with the more experienced players. While this is not going to be an issue NOW, in 2 years from now it is a VERY real possibility. Especially if what used to be normal free functions(HM's, entry to certain area's ect.) are going to cost. There has to be balance there between stationary currency(currency being held by players), currency spent(the regular exchange between players)and the currency that exits the economy(NPC Marts, ect).

I was really hoping this community was above word filtering. UguuMMO wouldve been a better filter word.

All these PokeMMO people making the jump awesome.

I stopped watching Pokemon because of all the filler episodes. The entire series became like the battle between Goku and Frieza in a sense. Im excited to just watch the 170 important ones.

No, not at all. Generally muting is a short lived punishment and an appeal process generally take time. For one you have to provide proof, the mod gets to present their reasoning and then a higher staff member has to determine if the punishment fits the crime and the amount of time it takes to do all this depends solely on when said staff members have time to deal with it. It's simply easier to take your mute and move on. If you get banned, that's generally how the process works and there is no realistic time tables on when they have to get these things done.
-
Its just a thought i had on helping staff communicate easier. Its not an insult in anyway. Sorry if you feel that way = ) I don't find it insulting, just unnecessary.
-
By the time the report is reviewed your mute would probably already be over and there is already a section to appeal bans.
-
The chat function in game hardly serves the purpose and neither would the tournament section, it would get disgustingly cluttered. A section for comp play is definitely needed if comp play is to be taken as a legitimate endgame activity.

Try showdown if you haven't. Easy team building and there are always people to battle.
