Hello trainers, I am doing a play-through Kanto playlist. It is not ready yet, but each video will be about one city in Kanto with 20 mins duration. Hey warriors. I have been planning to host this dojo some time ago, and I think it's about time to make it happen. I know a lot of you tried to ladder with sun teams and ended up being frustrated. Laddering with a team that is not supported by the game and hard countered by the meta is not easy, but it is for sure respectable. The time when I started playing sun teams it was something new in PRO, people wouldn't know what to do against a Victreebel. It was easy for me be creative and master it. Nowadays, if you don't know how to play sun and try it you will want to eat a hamster alive. This is why I want to host this dojo. We will train and prepare you to ladder with sun teams! How does the Dojo work? We have 4 mentors for now, including me. The mentors are the ones who will prepare you. You will have to battle them. Only a Champion (someone who won at least one of my tournaments) can be a mentor. If you don't have the Champion role and want to be a mentor you will need to provide me an evidence that you ended up in the ladder recently and battle me. If you are a Champion and wants to be a Challenger instead of a Mentor, you can just sign up as a Challenger. The Challengers will have to build sun teams in Showdown (you can build as many teams as you like) and you will have to battle every mentor at least once. The mentors will build meta teams that counter sun teams. So make sure to have a good strategy to counter sun counters. Mentors will give you tips in the end of the battle. They will tell you what you did good, what you did bad and how to improve. In the end of the month they will vote who was the best Challenger. If you struggle to build a team, you can ask me or any other mentor you feel comfortable with to help. I will not tell you what pokemon to use, but what are the important roles to have. There's also a cooldown to battle Mentors. You can battle each mentor once every two weeks. If you wish to battle them again before the cooldown, you can ask them but they don't have to if they don't want to. Are there rewards? This is a dojo, so don't expect big rewards. The biggest reward is knowledge and experience. You also get 10 honor points for each Mentor you battle. If you beat all the mentors you will get the Sun Master role and a pokemon of your choice in the Warrior Shop (Sun Teams tab). The best challenger (voted by the mentors in the end of the month) will get 100 honor points and a sun pokemon from the Warrior Shop). If you beat a mentor you can request a Reverse battle. In that case you would use a meta team that counters sun and they will use a sun team. You get 50 honor points if you win as well as the mentor if they win. Mentors will get 20 honor points for each battle against a challenger. Challengers will also have to vote for the best Mentor (don't vote me, cause I don't wanna be the jerk giving rewards to myself). The best Mentor will get 80 honor points and 1 coin capsule (only for this month). The next months it will be only honor points. When does it start and end? Dojo will start now. Yea, you can already tag @mentor in the #dojo-chat and request a battle. Wait for a mentor to be available for you. You have the whole month, so relax. If a mentor refuse to battle you until the end of the month for whatever reason, just report it to me in DMs and I will deal with it. I see everything. The dojo won't end. It will be there forever for you to practice, but the rewards are given every month. Every month you will have to vote for the best mentor as the mentors will vote for the best challenger. Best mentor reward is a coin capsule only for THIS month. The next months it will be 100 honor points and any pokemon from the warrior shop. How to sign up? There's no sign up. If you have the Sun Warrior role you have access to #dojo-chat channel. You just need to tag a mentor and battle! If you don't have the role you have to apply for it. You are basing the calcs not considerating the situation of the battle. I had a low health Gastrodon locked in earthquake since it was tricket into Choice Specs. Also, this is an EXAMPLE. I will give you an easier example, only for you. Imagine a Blissey against a Gengar. Blissey has flamethrower, seismic toss, softboil and twave. Gengar is Paralysed with 10 hp. Gengar does NOT have Destiny Bond. Blissey spams seismic toss and thunder wave 12 turns instead of flamethower and end the game in 1 turn. You got it now? Or I need to be more specific? Would be cool to have a punishment for this type of people who are wasting time. Having the foirfeit option tho would save these people (your friends apparently) from getting punished, which is good for you and for me.

If you think a Gastrodon with choice specs locked in earthquake is a threat to Clefable and needs to calm mind 6 times to kill me, your opinion won't be relevant. But thanks for your participation.

All the games also have the forfeit option, so you don't need to waste your time with people who are there just to frustrate you. If I had no mentality to play this game, I wouldnt be in the ladder 12 times in a roll. If you are here to be a hater instead of truly put your opinions out, you came to the wrong place. Playing hyper offensive team, weather team, stall team... it doesn't matter. PP stall is part of a strategy. Using Calm Mind and Softboil 6 times against a Gastrodon doesn't make sense. That's an act to waste your time on purpose and ruin the fun of the game. You guys are thinking Im crying over a regular stall player when I have no problems playing against these type of players. I was just suggesting a rule to avoid people from ruining the fun of the game. As I said before, if you have the power to change it, use it. Don't be like other games just because they are lazy. Anyway, the forfeit option would solve the problem.

The problem is not how I feel about the battle. If they wanna tilt me or not, that's their problem. The problem is my time wasted. It is not fun to play a game where people are there just to make you feel bad and in the process they waste 12 turns of your life using moonblast and softtboil against a Gastrodon locked in earthquake that could die in one turn. I don't understand your reason for defending people like that, and I hope it is not because you are one of these people. Stalling and Time stalling are different things. Stalling is a strategy, even though it's boring. Time stalling is like "I will waste your time for no reason, because I'm tug life." It frustrates people and make them wanna stop playing the game. Some times I prefer playing showdown because the community is bigger and they usually don't know each other, so they don't hate each other or don't wanna prove they are better or something. They wanna play quick games and just win/lose quickly. In PRO is all about reputation. "I wanna beat Belzebel, and I will stall her out until she is 90 years old". It is boring, it makes the game boring.

Well, he used trick on my gastrodon so I had choice specs locked on earthquake. There was no point for him to calm mind 6 times to kill my gastrodon. As I said, 12 turns to kill a Gastrodon who could have died in one turn is time stalling. Also, you don't need to have a big brain to judge properly whats time stalling or not. You only set up with a pokemon if you wanna sweep with it alone to kill 2 or more pokemon. When you can win the game against someone that has only one pokemon remaining you don't need to set up. I would understand if it was one calm mind and one moonblast. But 6? Come on...

If PRO wanted to copy other games, they could just ctrl C and V the whole thing instead of having artists and scripters to create original content. Same goes for rules in PVP. PRO and showdown are completely different games. Also, PRO is a small community, is easier to control/moderate. However, you said I would find players like that in showdown or any other game? I haven't found. Only in PRO. If you have the power to make the game better, why not just use it? Why you have to rely on a cheap version of what's already there?

I would like to suggest a rule to avoid people from stalling turns on purpose. For example, if I have one pokemon left while my opponent has 6, why would he calm mind his Clefable 6 times to kill my Gastrodon who could have died in 1 turn with a moonblast? Btw, my Gastrodon had been tricket with Choice Specs and it was stuck with earthquake. Some people are wasting 12 turns to calm mind and softboil to kill ONE pokemon just to stall you out when they could have won the battle in 1 turn. This is boring, annoying and frustrating. I closed the game after a match like that because that made me feel like PRO is not fun anymore. Unfortunately I wasn't recording the battle but from now on I will record everything. I would like to send evidences of people doing that if this rule is approved. It wasn't the first time and I'm tired of matches like that. I hope you staff understand how frustrating it is for players who just wanna end the game and move on to the next one. I was going to play more after that battle, but what he did exhausted me and I just closed the game. Im sure you know some people who stopped playing the game because of similar situations.

The Gender Counterpart tournament will be hosted on Showdown Gen 7 Anything Goes, mostly with PRO rules. Participants must have at least one couple in your team. The couple is two pokemon with the same specie with gender differences. For example, Jellicent. The female one is pink and the male one is blue. Or Pyroar, which the male has a huge mane and the female has a long hair. Pokemon like Nidoking and Nidoqueen or Gallade and Gadevoir also counts as the same specie. Pokemon with small differences like Pikachu (female and male have different tail shape) also counts. Check a list of gender counterpart pokemon here and here You can have up to 3 couples in your team. The more couples you use, the more honor points you get. One couple: +10 honor points Two couples: +20 honor points Three couples: +30 honor points These additional honor points will be added for each of your battles. they are all the same. If you get an epic Pikachu, and someone get an epic Budew. The best one will be judged on the nature, ability and IVs that are best fit for them. HOWEVER, I'm willing to pay really well for epic Frillish/Jellicent. That doesn't mean you will win the event, but you can get a lot of pokedollars if you find a good one to sell me.

Hey Glogski, First of all, I hope everything is alright. Well, if it was you wouldn't be taking a break from PRO I assume... but, you know what? I'm also feeling a bit down and not motivated to play PRO as much as before, and maybe it is just because we play it too much. Taking a break will be good. I'm doing it too. Well, not entirely, but I'm playing much less than before. I can't even believe I didn't bother to get ladder last season and I will probably not take ladder this season either. I'm putting more effort on projects that I think will be good for my future which makes me feel way more productive than being on the top 25. Whatever your reasoning is, I hope you come back when you feel better. I will make sure to keep annoying you on Discord. I will get top 1 for you whenever I feel like pvping again.
