  1. Oh thank you for the options ui scale, looks like there must be a button to minimize the chat aswell. I'll try it out right away and report feedback on here in a few days, sooner if its still completely unplayable.
  2. I got a new job recently. It puts me on call, and it makes it unfeasable to bring my lunky laptop with me. Then there is my phone. Something that is always with me :) So I said, okay... why not try it. Downloaded the apk. Installed. Loaded. Played. Everything seemed to work. I couldn't really play the game because the buttons were about 1/6th the size of my index finger. Something 1/2 the size would come in more use. I wanted to make some suggestions that would SELFISHLY help me out :) Since I am after all the center of the world. Everybody knows me. I forgot my name, what was it.. what was I saying.. I pressed my chubby fingers around to get a feel for the app, here are some things that would help everyone with somewhat small cellphone screens and can't afford or choose not to... a cell phone costing more than $25. Ironically I spend much more than that on video games, but that is becuase Video Games are far less likely to go missing, get damaged, stolen... but you might have to worry about dropping Pokemon Revolution in the toilet, that could cause some serious damage to the servers. I would know. Last time I did it, no one could log in. It's good that I keep it a secret. Here's some things, all is UI. The rest seems functional at the moment. And this is all for Android UI, Pc not having same problems. I have probably the smaller side of android screens, so if you make me so happy, everyone will be happy.. maybe. I want tootsie rolls. Chocolate Flavor. -x3 or x4 the size of all the buttons including X to close windows. Find a way to make it happen ? -Any graphical intrusions to the middle of the screen be minimized(-) button, hide it unless we want to see it, namely the chat window, hogs 25% of my screen, for android app. Pc it don't matter. -Make all windows including the battle window, pokedex window, backpack window, etc etc HOG UP the entire screen. Add a minimize button so we can minimize it temperarily if needed. All that cell phone retail space, could be used. :thanks: For providing these wonderful icon smileys to use. and  Will they take the time to update the Andriod UI? If they do how long will I have to wait? Maybe months.
  3. 1:Proglogue 2:The Idea Summary 3:Pro's and Cons 4:Some Support Solutions Prologue: The idea spawned from an idea that spawned from an idea, and grew into something completely else. Oh this is awesome add this! Wait, this is Even better! This isn't a suggestion. I wouldn't dare suggest it. It's an idea to play around with, because it's kinda crazy. Suggestion Coff Coffing! No... Arbok. This is Team Rocket.... Pokemon, I choose you! The Idea Summary: [glow=red]::::::::: GO IDEA! ::::::::: Make a member only area, based on the show, where the player has 1 simple goal. Find an episode similar to "The Bridge Bike Gang" where the "good guys" must reach the goal (Flag) to earn an exclusive Team Rocket Uniform (Rank, like White, for Agents of Team Rocket). But it gets better, if not a little bit trolly... When you first choose to enter this MEMBERS ONLY area, You must choose a side. Good, or Bad. You are automatically dressed into Grunt "wear" if you choose bad and teleported somewhere between the good guys start position and the goal (Flag/reward). And guess what comes next. Forced battles. If anyone makes it to the goal, they are rewarded, but they will be greeted by many, many grunts, or none! Good guys can't engage, but Bad guys can engage Pvp, and won't be denied/ just like npc trainers who force you to battle them. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::[/glow] Cons, go first!: -Pissed off Players getting owned and paid for medallion, regret. -Too many Team Rocket, 300 of us cannot get the FLAG. -Pokemon never had this kind of wilderness PVP before. This isn't cannon! About that Flag... What is this Quake! -Player X has level 100 pokemon and owning my level 20s. -I can't find any grunts, I walked up to the Flag, had a picnick, picked my nose, fed it to Pikachu. Then sold off my Exclusive Reward for 1,000,000. -Player X is using illegal moves and using Protect to sweep away my Grengar, somehow. Really he is! What the heck! -I tried to join team rocket, but it says the team is overfilled and I have to be the good guys, AGAIN. My medallion is expiring! -I bought the medallion and sailed to Rocket Hell Island, but the sailor said I have to turn back, island full. What a waste of money, PR. -There is a Guild camping with 10 trainers right before the flag with level 100s. It's impossible to get past. It's always like this. -Team Rocket sucks to join, they get no rewards, nothing but trolls join Rocket, roam the wilderness slaughtering innocents with Pikachu's. -Where is Sinnoh, what is taking so long! Don't you have enough staff! I want a 4th region pronto, stop working on new pvp elements! That's off the top of my head, there should be more cons. Pros, finish last: -It's in rune scape, its in wow. Wilderness, Scary Pvp areas aren't knew. There are games to look at on how they handle this. -Competitive edge. Brag about 4 regions? (sevii Islands is big enough to make 5) 700 pokemon? Try adding in open pvp into the mix. -More medallion sales. -The ability to become one of your beloved Jesse and James, by earning a White Uniform: By completing the dreadful quest. Make it slaughter fest. To gather all our guilds in one spot To setup 6 lvl100 Chanseys, an evil camping plot! To denounce the evils of avoiding a battle! To extend our reach to slaughtering more cattle! Blackout! Win! Team Guild secures the goal. Placing all the good guys hard work into a sink hole. -The first pokemon game to really really play the role as Team Rocket, the antagonist, the one who tries to stop you from achieving your goals. -It would be fun. ++worth. -It would just be fun? Who doesn't want to be the bad guy and disrupt the player in hopes of sending him to the pokecenter? [glow=red]IN KANTO![/glow] Solutions: -Bracket off the areas by level. All good guys start in one spot or a few. The starting spots. In area 1, you cannot attack another player as Rocket unless your pokemon are 10 levels under him. In Area 2, the levels must be less than his pokes. In area 3, you can fight a good guy if your pokes are no more than 10 levels above. Etc etc. and start bad guys in specific areas, based on their team. -Make the area big enough to accommodate enough players. I expect it to fill up as it will be the only members area to allow open/forced pvp. -Limit the teams by Ratio. 2/4 or 3/4. Always a little more rocket. However, Good guys get 1 perk! They are teleported to a pokecenter on the island and not KANTO if they pair up with a buddy! and win! Yes, more rocket, but Each Rocket Member must fight the pair to faint the player OFF the island! Else if he faints one player but not the buddy, they both faint to the pokecenter on the island. -Force set pokemon levels to a flat 40, flat 50, flat 60, with one lucky Rocket dude getting a flat 100 for all his pokes. Don't modify the good guys. -As the player progresses to artificially "harder" areas, he earns 1 reward for beating the next area. -When a player dies from battle, he is kicked off the island, with a cooldown. Long enough to make him go dig or something, till the cooldown comes off. Cooldown is based on how busy the island is. Players must sign up for the boat, then roam free through Kanto. Hoenn. etc, until "summoned" to the island,... you know.. captured by team rocket and sent there (small cinematic). They are summoned once someone dies, or the island isn't full of players. -Alternate way to bracket off areas: Rocket members have their flat rate of pokemon levels adjusted to a certain level based on area. (I figure this might be heavy on the servers though). The rocket boss never has his levels adjusted. Always 100, so keep clear of him. -Alternate way to become rocket boss: Simply have the most pvp wins, aka not kicked off the island, 0 losses. Outlive the other rocket members. -Boss roams free like other bad guys, might stay near the flag at times to prevent those getting to the flag, etc. -Towns are safe zones. Certain areas are safe. 1 safe zone per area, typically near the spawn point. -Limit how many times per area a player can be battled before he wins so much, hes immune to being battled. Boss ignores imunity towards the final stages. These solutions are just ideas too, to spawn better ideas if you think of any.
  4. Re: Boss guide [Lite] [update 2016-11-17] <r>At first i wanted the original guide then i looked at it. <E>:Frown:</E> <br/> This is much easier to read. 1 request: add in respawn time for newbies like me at the top, under "important". Its 2 weeks for all bosses right? Do some not respawn?</r>
  5. This is sort of a question, before a suggestion. Thought the thread would work better here for now, wanted to know what people think, including the devs who work on quests, scripting. Pokemon Revolution is so good, it kept sparking me to want to watch the original pokemon series cartoon with Ash, and just do a marathon. I think I've seen 4 episodes so far, and it is so good. I forgot how much fun it was to watch that cartoon. My question is, would it be fun, to add in encounters.. from the lore, quests from the lore, even if it would cost extra time to put in? (or maybe someone could get recruited to script in the new content? While the ideas are fresh, after seeing some episodes, I was thinking how awesome it would be to see more of those encounters with Jesse and James early on, (viridian forest). Even though the original pokemon games kept it to a minimum, It would be awesome to delve in with the lore some more, within Pokemon Revolution itself. Here were two ideas, aside from all the meeting Ash had with Team Rocket so early on in the story: -The Viridian Forest Samurai Trainer Encounter: He has a Metapod, and Pinsor. In order for him to attack you randomly in the forest, you must encounter a Weedle, and weaken the weedle to less than 20% hp. After doing so, a message will pop up, saying Samurai Trainer has interrupted your battle!, and you'll be forced to fight him, and "run away" from weedle. After defeating him (and only if you do), the reward is an escape rope. In lore he pretty much gives Ash a tip to end the battle (they were stalling each other) becuase a hoard of beedrills coming their way. An escape rope would make a sound reward in game. -Beedrill Hoards: I understand Devs don't want to add in hoards. This is somewhat different. It was exciting in the cartoon, that Hoards were scary, and you didn't want to fight them. You wanted to RUN AWAY. Not some experience farm by far. Weedles can prove to be run away worthy already, that poison sting. Just here me on this. Beedrill hoards would come only on 2 conditions and work very differently: -Condition 1: You faint a wild weedle. -Condition 2: A pokemon lvl30 or higher is leading your party. >Now the fun part. Hard to run away from them, They act as a Trainer with 2-6 pokeballs, random. No extra coding to add in a new feature of hoards. These Beedrills are low exp gain, no evs, or just none at all... They have ?? on their lvls. They are super deadly, and the sole purpose is to send you to the pokecenter crying, saying.. "I shouldn't have fainted that weedle!". You could even build a small quest around it, a one time quest from some guy saying "I bet you can't kill a swarm." And of course a reward if you do. To make it more frightning... disable the option to bring out another pokemon. Yeah, that one pokemon leading your team is all you get to defeat, the swarm. I thought it would be cool. Might make some funny talk ingame..."I kill a weedle and the mother came! Never again" -Sparow Hoards: Operates just like Beedrill Hoards. I would call it a swarm. That is the lores technical term. Hoards are obviously something else in pokemon games. These would be called Sparrow Swarms, and Beedrill Swarms. Sparow Conditions based on lore: -Condition 1: Attempt to catch a sparow with a pokeball at full hp and fail. -Condition 2: There is no condition 2. It's your bad. Get ready. Sparow will automatically flee. The swarm will encounter you. Operate just like Beedrills. EDIT: Important. Sparrow swarm award: If you defeat the sparow swarm with pikachu in your party specifically, it increases pika's happiness level greatly, or to full (assuming pika can't learn headbutt). That's what happened in the episode. Pikachu started trusting Ash more after that. As I watch the cartoon series some more, I can continue to share based on lore, to add in what happens next, like in the story. I just want to know you thoughts? Is it worth it? I wont contest, I prefer more regions, and to finish all 801 pokemon, and movesets. This is just something I wanted to bring up, while watching some episodes. If so, I can create a suggestion thread, and literally update it, after each few episodes with Ash and beyond.
  6. I second this. and thanks Lunestra. I try not to suggest or think about anything that would defer from the original pokemon games, or the lore. Just becuase. But otherwise, I wouldn't complain if there was a way to increase the options w/o making pokemon revolution too different. It's nice that you can go literally to other pokemon websites to pick out moves, then go into Revolution, and its pokemon built the same way. In general, if anything in Bulbapedia says its okay for ... say a snorlax, to have false swipe etc, bc of some episode in Pokemon original series (might not exist) or some pokemon game allowed it, that would be awesome. Event Pokemon were found when I searched for moves, so, it was sort of my desperate attempt to add to what we already have.
  7. Celebi/Hold Back speaks for itself with its moveset. Leftovers will cover the poison PVP combo, and you keep Natural Gift ability too. Wild Pokes aren't that threatening. Anyway this pvp tip is sort derailing the thread. [glow=red]I'm going to stop here.[/glow] This is just a [glow=red]wishlist[/glow], not a debate about "swiping". It's about adding in Event Pokemon, to expand the options on HM Slaves. The goal is to get hm slaves down to 1-2 in your party, after purchasing any available donation shop tools and mounts. It's about making hm slave searching more flexible. At the moment, with all tools purchased, I seem to juggle with 3 hm slaves(or tm slaves), or have to head back to the pokecenter, to swap one out. My dream would be 1 hm slave, but sitting on 3 I see an opportunity to find ways to bring that to 2 in the future. Those are my intentions. Optimization. More open slots for less slavery. Less whips.
  8. I don't want [glow=red]Celebi[/glow] with [glow=red]Hold Back[/glow] (False Swipe Clone)- Reduce the pokemon to 1 hp. [glow=red]Heal Block[/glow] - Prevent the pokemon from healing hp for 5 turns. [glow=red]Thunderwave[/glow]- Status Condition Ability: [glow=red]Natural Cure[/glow]. Clean up the status conditions given to Celebi by wild pokemon Do tell me if there is a better moveset than Celebi's for swiping.
  9. I'm just revising my pokemon HM slaves, trying to optimize the movesets, change out the old HM Slaves. I found here: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Hold_Back_(move) a move called Hold Back that was released with Event pokemon by a company at conventions, real life pokestores. The move can't be learned normally. Hold Back is the equivelant of False Swipe. For obvious reasons it's on my wishlist. It would give me more HM Slave options of the 801 existing pokemon. The Event Pokemons could be released by Pokemon Revolution in the same fashion, as events, or nested in members only areas.
  10. Hmm, true. Harder means more intricate bot designs, if they are challenged. Same goes for anything else in pokemon revolution, such as holiday events. Before going on, imagine the casino is available for PRO access only... pay for that medal, [glow=red]members only section. Rewards are cosmetics.[/glow] Would someone try to program a bot to: -play pokemon poker, - learn to invite players, who walk around the world at their own will, no pattern -once every 3 days, -members access only, pay to risk loss of account, that the botter paid money into, to risk loss of money -for 2-3 hours of dueling - possibly get reported a lot due to player interaction, something bots try to avoid. [glow=red]Rewards: 1 cosmetic item.[/glow] This someone wouldn't rather program a bot to: -Reuse an existing bot to go up left right down randomly, detect a christmas covered pokemon, and catch it. -No player to player interaction. -Low risk of being spotted -No limit on how many to catch [glow=red]rewards: xmas covered pokemon[/glow] Bots can bot anything just about. Its about the effort, risk accessment before someone chooses to bot. Counter-intuitive to pokermon poker suggestion, knowing some big update is on the way, I wont mind if the Devs just spend time on new regions, coding moves, and completing the last 100 pokemon in the pokemon universe. Pokemon poker is just a wishlist, and I feel it's a good suggestion, or something similar, if Game Corner becomes a spotlight in the future. It's mostly about downtime. Something more to do. I have plenty to do now, but wont mind soaking in time to some minigames ;)
  11. Comments say its Sinnoh! :) Thanks! I hope it is. I wonder if in 3 years we'll have 7 regions, 801 pokemon, all moves completely coded and working :) That would cover all of the pokemon universe. [glow=red]I believe it will be done, at this rate.[/glow]
  12. I'm excited to hear the staffs plans for 2017. I tried googling then the FAQ, and search function for key words. I checked announcements too ; ) Is Sinnoh in the works or considered? Or another region? Will the broken and non coded moves be somewhat closer, polished off by 2017? Will the navigation moves work, like whirlpool, waterfall, or strength?
  13. The problem persists that Game Corner in another pokemon game lead to bots ruling the earth, and farming it for pokemon. Then removing it or making it not profitable was the two solutions. I walked into Game Corner today in Goldenrod city. I remembered how much fun I had playing poker in Fallout New Vegas. Time soaked in, making bottle caps on the side. Then I thought, why don't we have Game Corner working? Its a pretty good solution. :Light: :Light:  After you earn X amount of coins in game corner, the manager kicks you out, and says "something" unfriendly. Whatever casino people say when they kick people out. They then tell you that you can come back in 3 days but you better not do it again, somewhat like a casino would. My brother worked at a casino and they escorted people out who kept winning too much. It would be more like a once in 3 day farming spot for coins. Every 3 days casino forgives you and lets you back in. There would be pokemon poker, who says it absolutely has to be slot machines. Maybe a pvp pokemon poker. (poker simplified) A small percentage goes to the casino, and the winner takes the other players bet, or a portion. It would make players want to find each other since you can only do it once every 3 days. I could see guilds going in at once when their casino "suspensions" wear off. Then there's the store. Good opportunity to put in exclusive casino clothing 8,000 a piece (coins). On holidays you might sneak in a few exclusive items in the casino. More poker?.. yep. If the custom made pvp poker game is fun, I'm sure people will soak hours into it, I would. [glow=red]On the technical side, the safest solution is to make coins unpurchasable with pokedollars. Casino hands out 30 if you have none left..every 3 days... something like this below:[/glow] -Player starts with 0 coins. Casino gives free 30 coins to him or her. -Player wins 8,136. Casino kicks him or her out, and says "That's too much, get out!" and resets the coins to 8,000. -Player purchases something for 8,000. Or else he or she is just missing out. -Casino forgives in 3 days. Player bought something for 7999. Has 1 coin in inventory. -Casino gives player 29 coins to bump him or her back to par, of 30 total coins. Nothing if they have 30 or more. [glow=red]But bots will figure out the cycle.... good point. Heres the solution to that. Casinos dont just forgive you, you need to earn those 30 coins. On day 3> "I'll let you back in if you find me a rattata on route X: On day 4> "I'll let you back in if you find me a (random poke) pokemon, on route (random route), random region, caught today specifically. Try to bot that.[/glow] I think that covers everything.

  15. Running at breezing speeds of light.. go dodrio mount go! I wisk my way through the forest, spamming the numerical 4 button to automatically run away from wild encounters. Smoking my cigarette thinking about this girl I like at work..Encounter Snake Poke, Spam 4. Run away... Encounter Pidgey, spamming 4. All buttons go red color. I look out my window thinking about that girl. Her hair. Her eyes. and that butt. Look back at my computer. Red buttons, still stalled on that pidgey!, yelling at the lag gods.. Why me! why must I wait on that stupid RUN button to go from red, to grey! How dare you, impede my progress! Stupid yellow pidgey.. Yellow.. Pidgey.. 2 Seconds go by.. Finger still spamming 4.. Isn't that Shiny? What color does Pidgey need to be, to be SHINY. About 30 milliseconds later. Well... it's not brown. About 20 milliseconds later, the brain redirects from crush on girl mode, to something really SHINY, and those red buttons are now grey, with text rolling over. AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH DONT YOU DARE>>> SAY>>>> You ran away from a pokemon. The text rolls over. A Pidgey has entered the battlefield. Omg omg thank the lag gods! I have to make a post on this pronto! OH no, I swapped that move out for Sucker Punch because Sabrina's Espeon kept having a love affair with Rattata. Uh. GO Level 21 GASTLY! Man you sure sucked against Sabrina. NOW IS YOUR TIME TO SHINE! CURSE THE NUGGET! CURSE IT! 75% hp,....CATCH FAIL 2 Pokeballs LEFT! 50% hp..... CATCHED!!! THANK THE LAGGY SERVERS!!!
