Any decent MMO's out there?

I played TERA for a few months when the game launched, and it was by far the best game I ever played from that genre. For whatever reason, it went downhill quickly despite being awesome and having thousands of players.

The combat system was incredibly fluid--even when i wasn't playing on the best connection. I haven't played since it became f2p, but hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as I did. Let me know how it turns out!

I'm not sure if I want to finish downloading it tbh :/

I think the community is pretty... eh... and the different classes have way too much skin showing on the female models :/ I don't really like games like that. I mean, yeah, of course I like girls and all, but when every single MMO you play has half naked girls (guys in real life) with exposed bodies running around, it just gives a bad taste. ;/

Well, there is Dungeon Fighter Online, its not 3d or anything, but you can move and attack at the same time, and if you ever liked the rpgs back in the 90's then you'd probably like this.

Alternatively, there is a new World of Warcraft private server called Primal WoW that isn't like the others because it starts in Vanilla (first version) and the staff team on that side's plans are too release patchs like Blizzard did, for a few months until the game reaches Wrath of the Lich King. the cool thing is the client is WoTLK and the game itself is Vanilla. Which means a lot for a private server. it's truly been fun for me for the past few weeks as I have played it sparingly.

Ah, I'm not really a fan of 2D MMORPGS. D:

And I've never actually played WoW in my life XD Well, I played it once for a very short period, but I don't have much interest in subscription-based games, unless they really shine.

See thats the thing, with this private server, it's free. Completely and utterly free, and there is no method for a P2W way of playing, which is why I am playing it a bit.

Mmm, I'm not sure how I feel about playing a private server though, chances are it won't survival many years, and plus, I would rather player an official game made by a proper company, I just feel more comfortable that way. D:

That's up to you, just putting it in to perspective, the servers have been around as long as 2009, and this server their hosting is their newest one, they've survived many years.

In case anyone cares, I thought I'll give an update.

I went with Guild Wars 2 and Wildstar.

Both games look solid in their own way, 2 very different unique games that both shine out with their own features. Gw2 with the storyline, player base and PVP, Wilstar with the Mounts, player housing and end game content (Dungeons specifically) I heard the dungeons are really hard, and is a challenge even to highly experienced players.

But primarily bought both games for the large variety of different classes/customization and the amazing combat system in each. Also a major factor that neither is P2W.

Just to note, I know that Wildstar is almost completely dead at the moment, which is fine, but they're releasing a F2P version this Fall, which is probably when I will start playing. (I'm going to buy the game now and wait to play it at Fall, so I can use the 30 day GTC you get free with deluxe edition as a month of signature service) Hopefully the population will like shoot up then.

I'm downloading GW2 as I type this! :D
