Usually level 85s are good enough to beat the Elite 4. Gyarados and Gengar/Haunter are one of the most used to beat the Elite 4. Gyarados is there to set-up with Dragon Dance and sweep. Gengar has the stats to be able to do so regardless. The rest of the team is up to you to build, but it's good to have counters.
