When i activate the HM. in this case Surf it just says Gyarados learned the move Surf.. it wont let me actually forget a move and replace it for surf? How do i fix this?

When i activate the HM. in this case Surf it just says Gyarados learned the move Surf.. it wont let me actually forget a move and replace it for surf? How do i fix this?

Hi there. If it simply stated that your Gyarados learned Surf, but didn’t give you the option to switch, it would mean that you had less than 4 moves on your Pokémon and therefore there would be no need to delete a move to replace it. Could you check your Pokémon Information Card to see if it has learned Surf? If not, then please let me know and attach screenshots of this issue.

Same goes for psyduck and goldeen, it wont let me replace another move, just gives me this system message
