Are EV reset after trade ?

Hi, i'm new to the game and have a question :

When pokemons are linked in the chat, you can't see the EVs.

So are they reset when you trade ? Because if they are not, how can you know that the Pokemon you buy is well trained ?

They're not reset, you can ask for a screenshot of the EV trained ones if you wish
