Pokemondzoto
Hi there, I know how that abillity works generally, but... what if my Pokemon with multiscale would be attacked/hurt by: 1) Stealth rock 2) Sandstorm 3) Iron Barbs 4) King's rock If damage taken from these 4 options is reduces by multiscale? Or I still can save that abillity for some other "normal" moves dealing pure damage? Thanks for answers, I have two great IV Dragonites, but this one with Inner Focus is a little bit better than this one with multiscale. And I do not know which one I should pick. Thanks for help in advance! :)
Pokemondzoto
number 4) is NOT King's rock but I meant Rocky Helmet ^^ My bad. There should be written "4) Rocky helmet". Sorry :D
Fluffles
number 4) is NOT King's rock but I meant Rocky Helmet ^^ My bad. There should be written "4) Rocky helmet". Sorry :D Hi there. Upon checking, it seems as if Multiscale only halves damage dealt by full moves. However, entry hazards such as stealth rock and sandstorm ignore multiscale and do the regular damage. As soon as your Pokémon is no longer at full health, Multiscale no longer takes effect, which answers the rest of your questions. Hope this clarifies things for you. Pokemondzoto
So.. for example: sandstorm is already on the field and I switch my pokemon on Dragonite. Dragonite takes damage from sandstorm firstly and THEN opponent's Pokemon attacks me for example with Ice Beam. If damage deal by that Ice Beam would be reduced by multiscale? If I undestood your post correctly answer is yes. But I'm not sure. In that case Ice Beam's damage would be reduced?

In short, if your Dragonite is not at full health, it will take full damage. Therefore, if your Dragonite has already taken damage from Sandstorm, Multiscale wouldn't work with Ice beam afterwards.
