Whenever I fight Hannah to get into Sinnoh, everytime I use fly or dive, the targets moves still hit me.. Is this a glitch, I didn't think those moves allowed the other users attack to hit, when im up in the air or under the water. Mainly its her Machamp when it uses thunder punch and dynamic punch.

Whenever I fight Hannah to get into Sinnoh, everytime I use fly or dive, the targets moves still hit me.. Is this a glitch, I didn't think those moves allowed the other users attack to hit, when im up in the air or under the water. Mainly its her Machamp when it uses thunder punch and dynamic punch.

Hi there. Please do note that Machamp can actually have the ability "No Guard". As quoted from the move's official description,

All moves used by or against a Pokémon with this Ability cannot miss. It also allows Pokémon to be hit during the semi-invulnerable turn of Fly, Bounce, Dive, Dig, Shadow Force, Sky Drop, and Phantom Force.

With that, Machamp's moves like Thunder Punch or Dynamic Punch can hit you, even whilst you're flying or diving. Furthermore, here is Dive's condition as quoted from its official description as well,

The user may now be hit while underwater if it is attacked by a Pokémon with No Guard, or if the user has No Guard themselves.
