Sketch BatonPass fail

Featured Replies

Dear pro team,

I hope my smeargle can use baton pass, but just can NOT find a way to sketch baton pass.

Could you please kind help? Thanks.

I found someone has similar case with me, and this time I record down the video.

https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/101731-url

Below are my 3 tries, with video and description.

I used smeargle to sketch, my friend played as rival to help me.

Fail 1.

Rival's team only had 1 pokemon, and then gorebyss could NOT use baton pass.

Fail 2.

Rival's gorebyss used baton pass to change a pokemon.

My smeargle used sketch and failed.

Fail 3.

1st turn, I used taunt, rival used baton pass and failed.

2nd turn, I switched to smeargle, rival used baton pass and failed.

3rd turn, rival used baton pass and failed, my smeargle used sketch and failed.

And this a video to show you the bug:

Hello there, @yoshi3star

The reason why your Smeargle cannot learn the move Baton Pass via Sketch, is because that this tactic only works in DOUBLE BATTLES, something that Pokemon Revolution Online does not have at the moment. However, there's currently no other way for Smeargle to learn the said move (via a custom NPC, for instance). I'm sorry for the inconvenience. It is reported and forwarded to the appropriate parties, but there's no Estimated Time of Arrival for that, unfortunately.

As for Sketch, it works as intended. There's no Sketch tutor in the Ruins of Alph as it used to be, but you can learn Sketch now every 10 levels. It can be re-learned from a Move Relearner for 2k Pokedollars, if you wish to overwrite a move.

Let me know if you have any further questions regarding this topic. Have a great day!

I think your example for double battle is work in <pokemon sun/moon>.

finally I found a solution in pro, owing to @NotUsernaem .

We can go to route 33, battle with the wild aipom.

Our smeargle use false swipe first, wait for aipom use baton pass, then we use sketch and done!
