Community help for the translation

Hello,

 

I have see on the option = Languages,

 

So I have a little question, have you your personnal translator in the team ? will you ask the help of the community for translate the game ?

 

I thinks we can found 2 or 3 volunteer for each principal language ( Like me ) for help you and make languages pack !

 

But please ! dont translate the game with google trad .... :)

Unfortunately they told many times they won't translate the game except for some parts (the game menu iirc).

 

I personnaly regret that decision. The storyline doesn't need to be translated, it's a lot of work and everybody can follow provided they played the official games. However I think moves and Pokemon names sould be translated. A lot of us have been playing the official games since we were kids and no matter how fluent in English we can be now, we've been used to have those names in our own language and most of them are not literally translatable. Which means we often end up looking up on Google for their translation. It's not hard to do a little search, but I'd personnaly wish we didn't have to. Not the end of the world though.

 

I also fear that the texts are actually written directly inside the code since I've read somewhere on the forum that it'd require trustworthy people to make a translation. If that's not the case, translations shouldn't be such a big deal, they could indeed recruit some volunteers.

The translate game not only need take the time and serious working, but also need change all script in game, which seem likely make the whole game again. It is unpossible and not need to translate game for what? English is very popular and international language. Then, u need aquire to know english as well as mother tounge. There are no reasonable for translate game. And will not be accepted :Exclam:

 

Addtionally, the translate will led to must do for all majority such as french, brazial, chinese, spanish,... That very unnessary, and need to focus on the development game.

For capacity / ability & pokedex some site have done the translation ( https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Main_Page )

 

For the story, i'm not ok with you , it's important, I love read the story , the little joke , easter egg ( Yugioh digimon easter etc etc ) ! So it's important !

 

& I a don't ask to the team, translate the game , I suggest a idea for help them to translate the game , that not take on their time ;)

For the english i'm not ok with you .... Look my country, We speak 3 mother languages ( French / Swiss German / Italian) ... english is really secondary .... But for me no problem , I thinks for the other & younger people who play to the game ! If they have not guide / don't know bulbapedia etc etc ... They are lost ( that make more slot open ;) that is cool )
