I'm actually hunting Rotom in Sinnoh Safari and there is also some Yanma that spawn sometimes.

I noticed that the Speed Boost message appears after we have escaped.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that normally the message should not appears if we ran from the Pokemon.

It's a bit annoying while hunting, but it's just a minor problem.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused and the late reply. Your report is correct, Speed Boost message should not appear when you run away from a Pokemon with that ability. However, there is a planned PvP Code rework as you might be aware of, which will hopefully fix all of these bugs (it will affect PvE and all battles in general). Unfortunately, a precise ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) was not given. Here are the words of one of our Developers:

It might take 1-2 months to be finished - no guarantee - from this point onwards. Our goal is to make all moves, abilities, items and forms (Megas included) work in-fight.

 

Given that, I'm afraid that you will need to be patient in the meantime, until this and many more bugs are fixed. Once again, we are sorry for the inconvenience.
