After battling this NPC, it stayed stationary which was expected. However there wasn't enough space to carry on up that path, the NPC blocked it. I was able to log out then in again to solve it. Is the path meant to be tight like that?

It will be notified to the responsible staff members and rectified as soon as possible.

Also, for now, you might need to move to a different map and come back to that spot to make the NPC move again and then you should be able to pass through him.
