I heard some NPC's could still be skipped if you just exit and re-enter the game. Tried it with this guy, worked like a charm. If i find any others i'll let you know.

Found another skip. Apparently if you run into a wild pokemon infront of this trainer you can just walk past him. Don't know if this works for everyone or not.
