Hello. Sorry if this isn't suppose to be here. I am going to try to explain this as accurate as possible. Would love if you help me fix this or tell me if i did something wrong.

 

When i was in Hoenn, just before i went to Sinnoh i bough from a player 5 Focus Sashes. I gave 2 to my friend that i play with, leaving me with 3. I DID USE ALL OF THE 3 in Hoenn vs NPC. Now after i did everything and before i accepted Hannah's invitation to go to Hoenn, i removed all of my held items i had on my Pokemon. I am pretty sure i did it, because other items that i used like Leftovers are still in my Misc Items. Either way, after i took the items off, i went to Sinnoh with my friend. I noticed i was missing TM's that i bought from the Game Zone in Hoenn (Flamethrower, Thunder, etc.) , but i didn't bother to report it since i don't find them that important. But today i wanted to use my Focus Sashes on my Pokemon and i noticed that all of my 3 Focus Sashes are missing, but as i said, all other items i used like Leftovers and Shell Bell were still in Misc Items and i was able to use them. Now just so i don't waste your time, i did check my PC and none of my Pokemon hold items.

 

Can you please tell me what has happened? Is it a bug or is this how the game works?

Focus sashes are a consumable item, meaning once they are used in battle, they are gone (similar to how a berry functions).

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

I would like to inform you that Focus Sash get automatically destroyed once its effect get activated.

They are in fact one-time usable items and once used they get destroyed.

Sometimes however there is a visual bug where, even if they have been used, you can still see them being held by your Pokémon. However that's just a visual bug and they do not work anymore exactly because they can be used only one time and they have been used already. Since that is just a visual bug, once you click on them they will simply disappear as they have have been already used and destroyed, but you could still see them due to that bug.
